You can do this with about anything, if you play the guitar tell her you want her to hear a song you have been practicing… whatever. What you say is just an excuse to invite her to your place. If she likes you she will take the bait even if the excuse is very stupid. She wants to be with you so its just a formality to get things going back to your place.
You should do this at the right time, don’t do it at the end of the date when she is already tired, do it after dinner or when you had one or two drinks. You don’t need to spend hours on a date, and you don’t need to have sex right when you arrive, you can continue getting to know her better at your place. It will help her get familiarized with your place and she will feel comfortable there.
If you already made out with her and she goes with you to your place you have a 90% chance of having sex with her because it means she is very interested.
